Safe Swim Academy strives to provide swim lessons of the highest quality and safety. We pride ourselves on being one of the best in the industry with our well-trained Olympian level founder, as well as creative, enthusiastic, and highly professional instructors.

We have developed our own proven teaching style through games, songs and imagery characters to develop comfort and proficiency in the water, engaging your child in a way that makes getting used to the water a fun experience.

Learning to swim can be a challenging experience – but it doesn’t need to be! At Safe Swim Academy, we make it possible for swimmers of all ages, from 6 months babies to adults, to make rapid progress in water safety skills in a fun, positive, and encouraging atmosphere!

Welcome to Safe Swim Academy! My name is Monica Barbu and swimming is my passion. I have been swimming since I was 4 years old. After 15 years of swimming professionally and reaching the highest level of performance as part of the Romanian Olympic swimming team throughout high school and into my collegian career, I decided to turn my passion into a profession.
